I Wanna Dance (At The Nightclub) is a song I wrote during lockdown of 2021 when I was living alone in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, very much missing my friends and the ability to go out and dance all together. Many of the pieces of audio chopped together to make this into a song were recorded on Zoom sessions with friends all around the world. It's so cool how all of those individual snippets of friends playing a whole host of instruments come together to create the symphony of sounds they do. Lyrically it was sort supposed to be a joke and a little tongue in cheek but it ended up becoming a rather moving song about missing human connection. Now that the world is returning to a semblance of communal normality, this song has a whole new meaning.
